Together with our members we amplify our voices into new forums. Members carry our message into the field in a variety of ways and help sustain and grow our organization.
Requirements
- Be willing to endorse the principles of the Electronic Frontier Alliance.
- Be willing to fulfill a policy of anti-harassment.
- Be willing to receive emails from us inviting you to participate in our efforts.
- Be willing to receive emails from us asking for your direct support.
As A Member, You Would:
- Participate to the extent that you can.
- Let us know about efforts you would like us to be involved with.
- Tell your friends about us.
Supporter
In addition to being Members, Supporters provide us with resources we need to complete our goals. Below are some of the applications for which we are seeking direct support.
Current Needs
- Brand management and graphic design consulting
- Web administration & Social media consulting
- Paid subscriptions for premium third-party web services.
- Event meeting space.
Things Supporters Do:
- Be willing to endorse the principles of the Electronic Frontier Alliance.
- Be willing to fulfill a policy of anti-harassment.
- Either:
- - Volunteer to provide your own services directly to support our goals, and/or...
- - Provide funding directly to third parties on behalf of techLEAD to support our goals.
TechLeader
TechLeaders collaborate with founders to direct the goals of our organization and also spend personal time carrying out actions that further our cause.
Some things TechLeaders do:
- Influence our direction by adding unique perspectives and opinions that align with our principles.
- Assist with creating and editing our essays.
- Conduct or assist advocacy meetings with community groups and leaders.
- Help us with outreach to new Members and Supporters.
TechLeader Duty:
- Be willing to endorse the principles of the Electronic Frontier Alliance.
- Be willing to fulfill a policy of anti-harassment.
- Commit to participating for a term of one year of leadership.
- Participate in Leader activities to the maximum extent possible.
- Leaders are encouraged to maintain a membership at the Electronic Frontier Foundation at a minimum level of Copper.
